Driver and vehicles account: create an account or sign in

You need a DVLA Driver and vehicles account to save a digital version of your driving licence on your phone.

Creating an account is a new easier way to transact with DVLA.

You can:

• update your driving licence with a new photo
• view your driving record, for example vehicles you can drive
• check your penalty points or disqualifications
• add and view details of your vehicles - including when the MOT expires
• check the tax rates for your vehicles
• set up vehicle tax reminders by email and SMS - if you pay for tax every 6 or 12 months
